چکیده
Abstract Rectangular columns used in flat-slab structures run the risk of punching shear damage due to stress concentrations, especially when bending moments and vertical forces act together at connections. Using finite element analysis method, existing experiments are numerically simulated using 3D modeling software ABAQUS, describe cracking behavior concrete damaged plasticity model. The accuracy numerical simulation was calibrated by load–displacement curves crack patterns experimental results. study model set up with different moment-to-shear ratios outputs trend average on eccentric force side slab. moment transfer coefficients derived through equation ACI-318 compared code values. A safe range length is proposed reduce from use rectangular columns. This provides a reference for practical design, but more needed support recommendations.

Finite Element Modeling of GFRP-Reinforced Concrete Interior Slab-Column Connections Subjected to Moment Transfer
A finite element model (FEM) was constructed using specialized three-dimensional (3D) software to investigate the punching shear behavior of interior slab-column connections subjected to a moment-to-shear ratio of 0.15 m. The FEM was then verified against the experimental results of full-scale interior slab-column connections reinforced with glass fiber reinforcement polymer (GFRP) bars previou...
متن کاملFinite Element Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Column Under Lateral Load
To serve its purpose a structure must be safe against collapse and serviceable in use. Serviceability requires that deflections be adequately small to keep the cracks within tolerable limits. Although the widely followed ACI Code suggests a detailed method of deflection calculation, it often cannot exactly perceive the actual behavior of a structure. For this purpose, finite element analysis, u...
متن کاملModeling of Concrete for Nonlinear Analysis using Finite Element Code ABAQUS
Concrete is the main constituent material in many structures. The behavior of concrete is nonlinear and complex. Increasing use of computer based methods for designing and simulation have also increased the urge for the exact solution of the problems. This leads to difficulties in simulation and modeling of concrete structures. A good approach is to use the general purpose finite element softwa...
متن کاملFinite Element Analysis of Reinforced RC Bracket Using CFRP Plates
CFRP composites have unique application qualities such as high resistance and durability to environmental conditions, having relatively low weight and easy to install in strengthening concrete structure elements. The brackets should be strengthen sufficiently if they are not calculated and implemented well. Application of the CFRP is one of the methods for such purposes. The study involves usin...
متن کاملFinite Element Analysis of Bond for Reinforced Concrete Structures
A high-resolution finite element model is developed using the MSC.Marc software package to investigate local bond behavior and the modeling of this behavior. In the model, interaction between concrete and steel is treated geometrically as contact between two separate bodies. Concrete is modeled as a homogenous material. A multiple, fixed, smeared crack model is used to simulate response in tens...
